ULM Becomes the First Campus to Hold IELTS Tests in South Kalimantan

Banjarmasin, April 4, 2026, UPA Bahasa ULM successfully held an IELTS test. This also made Lambung Mangkurat University the first to hold an IELTS test in South Kalimantan in collaboration with IALF Bali.

Quoting Kompas TV, Noor Eka Chandra, Head of UPA Bahasa of the University of Lambung Mangkurat (UMM), stated that this test center would ease the burden on the academic community and the general public who wish to take the IELTS. They would no longer need to travel to Java to take the test.

There were 18 test participants, dominated by lecturers preparing for further studies, university students and high school students aiming for scholarship opportunities abroad.
