Implementation of Training of Trainers of Teaching IELTS Preparation

UPA Bahasa ULM continues to strive to improve the quality of human resources, particularly in the field of language. Therefore, from August 18-22, 2025, the UPA Bahasa ULM hold a Training of Trainers for Teaching IELTS Preparation in collaboration with the Indonesia Australia Language Foundation (IALF) Bali.

This activity was attended by 16 participants consisting of lecturers and teachers from the UPA Bahasa ULM. Stephen Bolton, a mentor from IALF Bali, was the one who prepared the participants with theory and preparation. lesson plan, hingga praktik mengajar IELTS sesuai topik harian.

Noor Eka Chandra, M.Pd., emphasized that this training is not only to improve the competence of lecturers, but also this is a new step for students to be better prepared to compete in the global arena. He also said, "Good English skills are very important, especially for students who want to continue their studies or internships abroad."

More good news is that through this collaboration, UPA Bahasa ULM has obtained an official license to administer the IELTS test starting next year. This allows students, lecturers, and the general public in South Kalimantan to take the test without having to travel outside the region. In addition to the official test, UPA Bahasa ULM is also committed to offering IELTS training for students, lecturers, and the general public who want to improve their English skills. It is hoped that this program will help ULM prepare a generation ready to compete globally.
